Looking for a men’s haircut in Auckland that is done properly? The Fade Plug is a Papakura barber shop for skin fades, tapers, lineups and classic cuts. Every haircut is blended by eye, finished with a razor and a hot towel, and checked in two mirrors before you leave.
Our Signature Fade is the cut most of our regulars book: a clean skin, low, mid or high fade blended into the length you want on top. We also cut tapers, crops, slick backs, textured tops and mullets, and we can do a head shave if you would rather go all the way down.

A men’s haircut with us takes about 30 minutes on average. We start by talking through the shape, your hairline and how you wear it day to day. The fade is blended by eye, the lines are cleaned up with a razor, and we finish with a hot towel and a final line check.
No rushing and no shortcuts. If you want to add a beard trim, the Cut & Beard is booked as one 60 minute appointment.
Most guys pair their haircut with a beard cut so everything is sharp at once. You can also add a face wax, or book the Fade Plug Combo, which covers a Signature Fade, ear wax, nose wax, face wax and a beard cut in one visit.
We are in Papakura, an easy trip from Takanini, Drury, Manurewa, Papatoetoe, Manukau and Pukekohe. The full address is sent to you in your booking confirmation email. We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 8pm, and closed on Sundays.

Book online and pick your service and time. A small booking fee is taken up front and counts towards the cost of your cut. Read our house rules for cancellations and running late.
We cut kids aged 5 and over. If your child has any special needs, such as ADHD or autism, let us know when you book so we can plan the time.
The booking fee is not an extra charge. It is a portion of the cost of your service, taken as either a percentage or a fixed amount depending on the service you book. After your service, everything you have paid is treated as a part-payment of the total, so you only pay the remaining balance.
To reschedule or cancel, call us on +64 22 302 2464 or cancel through the website. Bookings can only be changed or cancelled at least 4 hours before your booking time. After that, you will be charged.
We’ll always do our best, but if you’re more than 10 minutes late we may need to adjust your service or rebook.
Payments are processed by Stripe, so we follow Stripe’s payment terms. Any transaction fee that applies for the payment method you use is non-refundable.
If you don’t turn up and have not asked to cancel, you must pay for the time that was booked for you. This will be invoiced to you.
